This year’s GUSA Council elections will be taking place on the 4th and 5th March - this timeline lays out all the other key dates you need to know! 🗓️

Being on GUSA Council means you are centrally involved in the running of the Association, and have a say at the top level of GUSA’s decision making! 🐯 It is also an incredible way to develop your skills and gain experience. 📝

 

  • Nominations Open: Monday 16 February 2026 (Nomination forms can be accessed on the Elections tab of the GUSA MSL page, and are to be submitted as word documents to Shweta Madnani via email – Shweta.Madnani@glasgow.ac.uk)

  • GUSA 'Meet the Council' Information Session: Monday 16 February 2026 – 6pm (JMS630) 

  • Nominations Close: Monday 23 February 2026 – 12noon 

  • Hustings: Monday 2 March 2026 – 6pm (Boyd Orr 513 (LT D)) 

  • Elections: Wednesday 4 March 9am – Thursday 5 March 5pm (Voting via the UofG Life App) 

  • Election Results: Thursday 5 March – 6pm (GUU – Base Bar)
