The role of the president is to oversee the day-to-day running of the organisation.
They are also responsible for the following:
- Oversees GUSA Council & chairs meetings
- Ensures a strong student representation within sport
- Represents the University to the wider sporting community across Scotland and the UK
- Oversees GUSA/UGS partnership with Director of Sport
- Oversees GUSA clubs with Sport Development Team, & any complaints/welfare issues with Sport Development Manager
- Work closely with UGS staff throughout the year
- Responsible for the organisation of Freshers’ Week
