Join us for a dedicated swim session designed to create a safe, welcoming, and affirming space for transgender, non-binary, and intersex individuals.
What to expect:
- 2-hour session (leaving space for 1 hour swimming + 30 mins changing time before and after)
- Whole pool reserved exclusively for this event
- Swim at your own pace – no coaching, just a relaxed environment
- Where: our 25-metre, six-lane pool on level 2 of the Stevenson Building.
How to sign up:
You will need to make an account through the GUSA website
- If you are staff or student at UofG, you can use your UofG log in using your email
- If you are not staff/student, please set up an alumni account
Cost:
- UofG sport members: no additional costs
- Non UofG sport members: you will be required to purchase a day pass to enter the Stevenson building (£7.50 for general public / £6.00 for UofG students & staff)

Additional information:
- Windows will be covered to provide privacy
- All staff on shift will have received training from LEAP sports
- Staff will be required to check the changing rooms; this is standard procedure and occurs once per hour
Swimwear advice:
Wear appropriate, comfortable clothing in the water, i.e. Swimming costumes, Bikinis/tankinis, swimming trunks, swimming shorts, swimwear, leggings and a tight t-shirt/rash vest, a t-shirt or rash vest under/over a swimsuit, and binders.
Accessibility and changing room information:
- All changing rooms will be gender neutral, with multiple private changing cubicles and showers as well as communal changing/shower spaces. These changing rooms will be exclusive to those attending this event.
- There are two pool side disabled changing rooms, with showers and lockers inside.
- A lift to level 2 is available
General questions:
- Lockers available; you will need to use a padlock of your own. (We have padlocks for sale at reception for £2 if you forget yours or don't have one)
- Towels can be hired from Front Desk and towel hire prices are as follows:
- Individual Towel Hire – £1.00
- Towel Hire Card (10 x Towel Hires) – £7.00
- Can I use the pool if I cannot swim confidently?
Members who are not confident in swimming two lengths of the pool are welcome to come to the swimming pool but need to stay in the shallow end of the pool. The shallow end is one metre deep.
