Timeline:
Nominations open: Monday 28th of September at 9am
GUSA Council/By-election information session: Thursday 1st of October at 5:30pm
Nominations close: Thursday 8th of October at 12pm
Hustings: Monday 12th of October at 7pm
Voting: Thursday 15th of October 9am-5pm
Results: Thursday 15th of October at 6pm
The Role:
We are holding a by-election for the role of GUSA Outreach Convenor.
The Requirements:
The Outreach Convenor is responsible for leading GUSA’s outreach programme, handling administration, recruitment of clubs, PVG arrangements for volunteers, and other initiatives such as international student engagement. They ensure GUSA is accessible and visible across the wider community.
The expected time commitment of a convenor is roughly 3-4 hours per week. You will be expected to attend a minimum of 2 meetings, monthly. You must be present at Student Council Meetings, taking place on the 2nd Thursday of the month, and Senior Council Meetings, taking place on the last Thursday of the month.

How to run:
You will need to submit a manifesto to run. Manifestos should be submitted via the template accessible on our Instagram and Website. You will need 5 nominators. Please include their names and GUIDs on the allotted space on the manifesto template. Once this is completed, please email the document to Toheeb.Olugbode@glasgow.ac.uk (GUSA's Data and Finance Officer).
Following the successful submission of your nomination form, you will be emailed a list of candidate rules and instructions. Please read these carefully and ensure you understand them.
You will attend hustings, where GUSA members will have the opportunity to ask you questions about your manifesto.
When voting opens, candidates typically bring posters/signs and canvas outside of the Stevenson Building.
