We offer a range of financial support at GUSA
The GUSA Chancellor’s Fund for Sport supports University of Glasgow students in pursuing unique, aspirational sporting projects that might otherwise be financially inaccessible. Whether it's a challenging expedition, a skill-building opportunity, or an activity outside your usual sporting experience, this fund can help make it happen. Applications are assessed based on ambition, preparation, and potential impact. Funding is not guaranteed and must be applied for by the published deadline. Successful applicants receive support directly to cover costs such as travel, accommodation, and programme fees
The GUSA Hardship Fund provides short-term financial support to students facing unexpected financial difficulties, helping them stay active in sport at university. It can cover the full cost of a UofG Sport membership and/or one GUSA club membership per academic year. Applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria and provide evidence of financial hardship, including bank statements. Funding is paid directly to the relevant sport service or club, not to individuals
The GUSA Representative Fund provides financial support to University of Glasgow students who are competing at a national or international level in their sport. Whether you're representing the university, your country, or another recognised body, this fund helps reduce the financial burden of high-level competition. It can contribute towards costs such as travel, accommodation, and entry fees. Applications are assessed based on the level of competition, eligibility, and financial need
Current students can apply for up to 50% funding towards courses and qualifications
